In the middle of 2011, I stopped teaching my weekly flower essences classes after 8 years. Why?
For a long time I have wanted to open up my teaching program to people beyond my local environment. Don’t get me wrong. The weekly classes were great ( I miss them ) and the ‘fans’ I had were loyal and came every week without fail ( for years ) but I felt there was something missing. What I wanted to do was ‘go beyond the classroom’. I wanted to run an online, ongoing teaching program so that people who didn’t live near me… or couldn’t make the class, could attend. Or tune in when they wanted. This way I could reach a global audience, all via the internet. Thus offering online training to go along with my classes and workshops.
‘Constant training’ is the aim ( because I am addicted to teaching, lol. ) The Skyflowers are more than ‘a set of flower essence remedies’ and in fact, the remedies themselves are just a small part of the actual ‘product’. The Skyflowers are a way of life, a spiritual development set of teachings and something far larger than a single workshop. So to capture the essence of the teachings…
I wanted to open up an ongoing training… a ‘constant classroom’ that ran in the times between my physical workshops.
As the internet is really one giant classroom and companies like Apple are creating great software for teachers like me to communicate with, then why wouldn’t I take a brief pause from my teaching schedule and set up a global classroom? ( Thus allowing me to sit at my computer in my pyjamas and still deliver amazing wisdom and insight! Lol )
Just yesterday, I chanced upon an awesome website that allows you to ‘teach via the web’. After further research, I found that that this service was indeed one of the best around. There were more that I found, but it seems my ‘first find’ was indeed the best one for what I want to achieve.
